New Hope Praise Band

The New Hope Praise Band started in 1993. The very first members of the band were Robert Mott, Tom Ivory, and Steve Eller. Candace Eller, Jody Johnson, and Laura Breite were added soon after. By the end of the first year guitarists/vocalists Bill Mingst and David Light were added. During the early years the band used Tom Ivory's sound system because the church did not own one. It turns out that this sound board has a little history. Before being bought by Tom Ivory that same board had been used by many recording artists including Bonnie Rait and Little Feat. For a long time Tom's son, Bryan Ivory operated the sound board for the band.

This page is dedicated to the wonderful people that have participated in the New Hope Praise Band.

The New Hope Praise Band has been blessed many times over the years. In 1995 the band played in front of 5,000 people at the Universal Ampitheatre during the United Methodist Vision 2000 event. In 1997 the band recorded a CD entitled They That Wait on the Lord. Much of this CD was recorded at Brian Gragg's house. All of the vocals and some of the instruments were recorded at Studio West, in Rancho Bernardo, California.
